David Forschner MD, Matthew Breeden MD, Margie Maeder MD, Jeanne Bair, CNM.
David Forschner, MD, FACOG -- Dave grew up in Toledo, Ohio and graduated from Denison University. He went to medical school at The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, and did his Ob/Gyn residency at the University of Colorado Shool of Medicine. Dave and his wife Jami have lived in Colorado since 1995. They have two children, Anneliese, 7 and Soren, age 5. Dave and his family enjoy skiing, hiking, cycling, and all that Colorado has to offer. Dr. Forschner’s passion in OB/GYN is helping women and their families, through some of the most exciting and fulfilling experiences of their lives.
Matt Breeden, MD -- Matt grew up in Cincinnati, OH and attended Louisiana State University on a Swimming and Diving scholarship. As platform diving quickly proved to be a dead-end, he moved back to Ohio, where he spent a few years doing research in wound healing before attending the University of Cincinnati for medical school. In 1997, he moved to Denver for his residency in OB/GYN at the University of Colorado. Matt and his partner, Scott, live in east Denver with their two dogs and a pond-full of fish. In his non-medical time, Matt is an enthusiastic (if not gifted) mosaic glass artist. Dr. Breeden's philosophy of care is to invite the patient and her family to be fully engaged in their healthcare. A particular interest of his is helping women to achieve a vaginal birth after C-section.
Margie Maeder, MD – Margie grew up near Pittsburgh, PA and earned her undergraduate degree at Denison University in Ohio. She graduated from medical school in Cincinnati, OH and moved to Denver in 2007. Margie lives in Central Denver with her dog Hudson and cat, Oz. She enjoys all of the great outdoor activities that Colorado has to offer, especially skiing, hiking, and golfing. Margie has also recently started learning karate! Dr. Maeder’s philosophy of care is to care for patients in a collaborative practice where her patients’ own research and desires are joined with her medical knowledge to achieve an outcome satisfactory to both. Dr. Maeder’s main passions in OB/GYN are family planning and birth control, basic infertility and preconception care.
Jeanne Bair, DNP, CNM – Jeanne has lived in Colorado since she was ten, so she claims Colorado as home. Before that, her father was in the military and the family was stationed both in the states and overseas. She earned her Certification in Nurse-Midwifery and a Masters of Science in Nursing at the University of Pennsylvania in 1982. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2011 with a doctoral project on teen pregnancy prevention. Jeanne has been a clinical instructor with the Nurse-Midwifery Program at the University of Colorado College of Nursing since 1988. Jeanne and her husband Billy met in Philadelphia. They have two daughters, Kristen (21) and Alex (24). Her hobbies include travel, music, theater and gourmet cooking. The word midwife nicely sums up Jeanne's philosophy of care. It means "with woman". She believes in listening to women, offering them information for making informed choices, supporting those choices, and encouraging women to be partners in their healthcare.
